Anna-Mari Peltonen
Pianist Anna-Mari Peltonen started her studies at the South-Ostrobothnia music institute with Ritva-Liisa Numminen, Raili Peltonen and Carlos Turriago.
She has also studied at the vocational colleges in Turku and in Helsinki, and graduated as piano pedagogue in 2005. After further studies in chamber music and Lied at the Sibelius Academy, she graduated with a master degree in 2017. Her studies also took her to Prague where she worked with prof. Peter Toperczer and Boris Krajny 2001โ2002. She has performed as chamber musician in Finland, Denmark, Estonia, Iceland, Spain, Czechoslovakia and the Faroe Islands. In 2004 she was awarded II Prize together with Samuli Peltonen in Jyvรคskylรค at the first ever arranged Baltic-Nordic chamber music competition. Beside her daily work as a pedagogue, she also works as Pilates instructor. Anna-Mari Peltonen is artistic director at the Kaskinen Music Summer together with Samuli Peltonen.
