Jasper Leppänen

Tenor Jasper Leppänen began his musical studies with both trumpet and singing in his hometown at the Tampere Conservatoire. He continued with a master´s degree at the Sibelius Academy opera program (2022). As a part of his studies, he appeared as Fritz Kobus in Mascagni’s opera "L'amico Fritz" and the title role in Britten’s "Albert Herring".

Leppänen has performed in many prominent tenor parts in both musicals and operas. He appeared at the Tampere Theater in the musical ”Momentum 1900”,  and  as ‘Moritz’ in  “Spring awakening”. In the fall 2023 he started his position as soloist at the Finnish National Opera and made his debut in November as ‘Alfred’ in Johann Strauss operetta “Die Fledermaus”. His concert work includes several guest performances with various choirs and with Sinfonia Lahti, as well as the Lappeenranta City Orchestra.
