Miikka Saarinen

Trumpet player, baroque trumpetist and pedagogue Miikka Saarinen has played with the Radio Symphony Orchestra since 2008. In addition to his work with the symphony orchestra, he specializes in early music and plays regularly with various baroque ensembles. Since 2023 Saarinen has been a lecturer at the Sibelius Academy of the University of the Arts. Saarinen also performs as a soloist and chamber musician on both modern and baroque instruments. Saarinen’s regular chamber music ensembles include Raiku, a brass quintet on period instruments from the Romantic period, and Euphoria, a brass sextet that has been cultivating the joy and power of music for twenty years.trumpet music at the Sibelius Academy of the University of the Arts.
