Heidi Peltoniemi

Heidi Peltoniemi has been solo cellist of the Helsinki Baroque Orchestra since 2022. With the orchestra she has toured in many European countries as well as in Israel, China, South Korea and Japan. She plays on a Giovanni Taningard cello from the 16th Century. She also plays on a viola da gamba (Bodart 1996) and a violoncello piccolo (Koós 2022). Heidi is a dedicated chamber musician, and she keeps exploring new repertoire as often as she can. At home in the former village church of Pitäjänmäki, where she nowadays lives with her family, she arranges a baroque music concert series.
