Bianca Morales & Fred Ahlberg

Bianca Morales is a respected jazz vocalist who performs on concert stages, festivals and jazz clubs with ensembles of various sizes both in Finland and elsewhere in Europe. Bianca's long career as a jazz vocalist began in 1980 at the age of 14 with the Grani Big Band, and over the decades her career has included e.g. musical productions of the Swedish Theater in Helsinki and the Helsinki City Theater and she has worked as producer and performer of the Pori Jazz Kids Festival, and most recently in the Arto Paju’s ”Wiipuri” Opera ensemble at the Salmela Art Center in the summer of 2022.

The versatile guitarist Fred Ahlberg is a long-time performer and recording musician, and the Fred Ahlberg Trio’s latest album will be released in 2023. Bianca’s and Fred's collaboration started in Grankulla in 2018 with Bianca Morales & The Petrescu Jazz Quartet's concert "A Tribute to Cole Porter". On Pellinge Festival on Aug 3, 2023 the duo Bianca Morales & Fred Ahlberg with their program named ”Where The Jazz is Hot”- offers beloved evergreens, but also newer jazz songs from Bianca's award-winning and popular ”When in Rome”- CD. Cheerful and energetic Bianca also inspires the audience to sing and whistle along happy jazz tunes.
